I've just received my Inspiron 1764 and I could have sworn I picked bluetooth in the list, but I can't see it on my build report....Anyway...

I'm looking at adding the proper Dell Wireless 365 card, but before I do, I'm hoping someone can answer these questions.

    1. Is the location of the card easy to access? I don't really want to strip down the whole computer to add a £10 bluetooth card.

    2. Will the required cable be in place or will I have to purchase this seperately?

    Cheers in advance!

I would also like to know the about the cable for the bluetooth adapter. After looking at the dell service manual it looks like the laptop will have to be almost stripped apart to add it. I don't want to strip it apart to find out if I need a cable. It is very temepting just to buy a usb adapter but I normally use all of my usb ports

you will have to remove the power button panel, the keyboard and the palm rest to install a bluetooth module, not too sure about a cable, my guess is its a card that slots into the mobo. if you've got the service manual it should be quite painless, but if you dont use bluetooth that often you may be better off with one of these
