Anyone experiencing that the Quickset Settings button (gears button) is disabled with the recent BIOS A08 update? I know a workaround for this issue in the mean time is to press "Win key + X".
I only found out about this...this morning when I tried to press it and nothing happened. I even tried uninstalling the Quickset app and reinstalling it with no success. I started reading the Dell tech support forum and others are having problems with the Quickset button with BIOS A08.
I think Dell needs to either update the Dell Quickset application or it needs to release a BIOS update that fixes this issue. I am not sure if this can be fixed via Windows Registry.

Btw not everyone knows about the windows key + x shortcut. -
I can confirm too that my 7720 using BIOS A08 has the same issue.
A fix from Dell would be welcome! -
So this issue has been reported to the Dell Community forums. A Dell representative has responded and they have a new Quickset driver to try that should fix the issue. At least one person has tried it and responded that the new Quickset driver has fixed the issue. I am still in the process of trying to get my hands on the new Quickset driver to try for myself. So its good news that a fix is in place and I assume that once Dell builds confidence that enough people have tried the new Quickset driver that they will upload it to the Drivers page under Applications.
Re: Quickset button - Missing function - Laptop General Hardware Forum - Laptop - Dell Community -
A new Quickset driver released on 22.10 appears on the Dell Drivers and Downloads. However when trying to download it I get an error message saying the driver is not available.
Does anyone have working download link for this latest version of Quickset?
Has anyone had any luck downloading this driver?
EDIT: I managed to download the new Quickset drivers and all functions are working properly! -
