    Inspiron 17R USB ports

    Supposedly my Inspiron 17R has 2 USB3 ports yet SIW (and similar programs) say only USB2 is supported. When I checked the Dell site for updates it shows some USB3 drivers - any idea what's going on?

    My name is Rajesh and I represents DELL in Social Media Forum. There are two models that come under Inspiron 17R one is Inspiron N7110 / 17R and the other one is Inspiron N7010. You will get the details at the bottom of your machine for the model number. And then you can see which driver you required to install.
    Inspiron™ N7110 / 17R has
    1 Left connector: 1 USB/eSATA Connector and Power Share connector
    3 Right Connector - 2 USB 3.0 Connector + 1 USB 3.0 Connector

    Inspiron N7010 has

    3x USB 2.0 ports
