i have taken apart the 300m a number of times, inside and out, yet have only found ram socket from the bottom of the laptop.

using cpu-z i found that there are 2 sockets.

question: where is the 2nd? i know 128mb is fix ram but i've also seen online that i can achieve 1152mb of ram so....can anyone help me achieve this?

thanks guys. i know its an old laptop but its working just fine, just needs a bit more ram :p

    1024+128 = 1152.

The 128MB chip is soldered onto the motherboard...and that is the second RAM slot you cannot find. If you are looking to upgrade the RAM, get a 1GB stick on throw it into the single open slot to get 1152MB of RAM that laptop can support. The chipset most likely wouldn't support more than 1GB in a single slot.
