I brought my Insprion 4150 to Norway on a trip that started in Seattle. It worked when I left and it worked in CT and NY, even at JFK. When I was a Schiphol I noticed that the yellow low battery light was on in my camera-laptop bag so I did not use it until I got to Bergen. Now it is either not starting up (hard drive starts to spool up while middle light "A" blinks) and then it shuts itself off) or it starts and then freezes. At one point I was able to get to the control panel and observed that battery #1 was at 94% but battery#2 was shown grayed out.

If I leave it on charge for a long time it will get past the Windows startup screen to the desktop for various periods of time before it will finally freeze up, Sometimes it will even freeze up at a safe startup screen.

I have my doubts about the motherboard battery since the battery # 2 is grayed out (7.2v 15mAh?) But why will it not start up with the AC connected (switching supply connteted to 240 vac)?

Please help since I am only umpteen miles from home in Seattle and need to be able to download a gazillion RAW images to my photoshop files.
    Thanks

    Bill
