was running defrag and did something that caused the machine to go into suspense, sleep or zomby state and cannot get the thing back up to running. have punched all the buttons, plugged and unplugged AC power source. depressed power on/off button many times. Manual page 74 says go to help to discover restart method - but, the machine is not running : wow! Anyone got any ideas about how to make the machine wake and work?
    Thanks

Pull out the battery, then unplug the charger, then push the power button and wait 15mins so we are sure all power is gone. Then plug AC in, power on, then battery.

If this does not work, it is a good chance that either your power switch is bad, your power supply is bad, or your motherboard is gone.

I just went through the exact same thing with my 5150. These had known power, motherboard, and heat issues.
