    Hi,

My old zepto is dead because of the 8600gt and i'm looking for a fast replace with a inspiron 5110 with core i5 but i'm not sure for the graphics.

I can find the same system with Nvidia gt 525 1 gb and Amd 6470 M..

I'm going to use it as a business laptop and there is no need for a good graphics card... I want to know if there will be any differences at the temperatures or you can suggest something better?

    thx

Get the fastest CPU you can afford. Replace the platter drive with a SSD for smoking fast load times. SSD is worth the money. But do not buy it from Dell.

Yes i know that and that's my plan but i'm confused with the gpu's..

I can find with amd and nvidia at the same price from a dell reseller..

The only difference is that the nvidia system is with 2430 and amd gpu is with 2410.. One is release q4'11 and the other one q1'11

Get the nVIDIA system because GT 525M is way more powerful than a 6470M !

Yes all Sandy Bridge laptops should natively support SATA 3 in the HDD bay, but for mechanical hard drives, they don't even saturate SATA 1 speeds, only if you are interested in an solid state drive as they can saturate SATA 3 speeds.

I'm going for vertex 3 120 gb but what's about my warranty?

As i can see the process it's a little bit complex is there any chance to lose the warranty?

No, changing a part like a hard drive is considered a CRU; customer replaceable unit. The only you can void the warranty is by installing it improperly, damaging something. Also Dell for obvious reasons will not covered the changed out part. Do be aware if you RMA for warranty repair and they find the changed part causing the isssue, they potentially may charge you an out of warranty labor rate as the part is not covered by warranty.
