    Hi,

I've bought a secondhand Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. It's use will mainly be for wireless internet and some light gaming of older games (Black & White, Age of Empires etc).
I also have a desktop which is the main gaming machine so I'm not too worried about the lack of top spec.

Currently the inspiron has a 1.5 processor, 1gb Ram and the integrated graphics chip. I'm guessing its easy to upgrade the memory and the processor but what about the graphics? Can the X300 128mb card be installed on the system when an integrated chip is already in place? Is the performance improvement worth the spend both card wise and CPU/RAM.

I know this is an old system but I might as well have it running as smooth as it can.

    Many thanks is advance

No, notebooks with integrated graphics have a different mainboard, and have no slot.
