    Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with the Inspiron 6000 (6000c I think it is) with the Celeron M processor? I'm looking for a new Laptop, and will be using it primarily for DVD, MP3, Divx, Surfing, Photoshop, and playing internet poker. No gaming for me. Any pros/cons of the Celeron M processor, and how's the battery life, etc. If I get the machine with 512m of ram is it strong enough to run Photoshop without undue lagging? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

the celeron has no battery saving features. if you need them, you have to get the pentium M.

the size of the images you're editing in photoshop will tell you how much ram you need. you will be fine with 512 if you're a hobbyist. if you are a professional graphic designer, i would recommend at least 1 GB.

The Celeron would be last on my list if not for the Pentium 4. A Mobile Sempron is a better budget CPU, but you won't get it at Dell.
