Right hello. sorry if there is an identical thread im new to all this!

well i currently own a dell inspiron 6000 running wondow Xp home edition. the issue is that earlier today i reformatted the laptop which wiped the whole thing and now i cant get the wireless to work. i know it works as i used to link to the wireless at home and college. i did look at a few threads which suggested things. ive already tried loading all the drivers which came with the laptop and going on device manager but the wireless doesnt show up. when i press the button on my computer to switch wireless on and off the screen recognises that im doing it by showing up a dialog box but the light on the laptop refuses to light up.

    please help!!
