Could anyone tell me how to use my television as a monitor for my 6000? I have an s-video input on my television, I think it's possible to do it through that. What kind of cables would I need and how do I set it up?

    Thanks.

Does anyone know what kind of cables I would need to connect my laptop to my TV through the s-video input? Would the sound come through the television speakers?

You need a s-video cable, a Y-adapter, and RCA cables. Get that at Wal-Mart. The Y-adapter is for the for the headphone connection. It will split it into the Red and White RCA cables. Then plug in the RCA cables into the Y-adapter, and that will go into the sound input for the TV.

You would need audio cables as well.

Edit: ccbr01 beat me to the post. What he said is correct :)

Make sure your T.V. is set on Input as well or you wont get a signal from your laptop.

or if you have a plasma like I do :) just hook it up with a standard monitor cable or dvi cable.

audio out via 1/8th inch ring/tip/sleeve (stereo) to rca into your audio system or television inputs.

MCE 05 and plasmas are made for each other.
