My trusty Inspiron 600M just bit the dust and now I am curious. Does anyone know if I can simply put the top part of my Inspiron (the part with the LCD and bezel) onto an old Latitude D600. In other words, will the one piece just onto the Latitude case?

The display assembly of a 600M will fit onto a D600 chassis. The display connector and screws locations are all 100% compatible. The 600M display, however, may not close properly because of the different shapes of the 600M and D600 palmrests and bezels.
