I've been working on this two days now. I can connect with an ethernet cable but not wirelessly.

I'm running XP Pro SP 3

Device Mgr. has a ? next to Network Controller in other devices. Under network adapters, Broadcom 570x is successfully installed and working fine.

Please help...I've visited Dell's support website and they have about 6 different drivers for wireless cards. It's a second-hand computer and I don't have any of the cd's/materials that came with it so I'm not even sure which wireless card I have.

    Thanks!

The Broadcom chip is probably your wired ethernet, as I have a Broadcom 440 ethernet chip in my i6000. You probably have an Intel wireless card, so you should visit Intel's website and d/l their wireless drivers or download the wireless drivers for your 600m directly from the Dell website. Can you check the properties page of the WiFi adapter and see what "Code" the error is?

yeah...i figured broadcom was for the wired.

i've tried installing three different drivers from dell's website and none of them work. i even have in start>all programs>dell wireless> Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility. But when I click it, nothing happens. There's nothing in my internet connections folder except the LAN connection. No option for Wireless and no mention of anything wireless in device manager...

Intel's website has about 30 different wireless options so i really have no idea which i have...?
