Hi Everyone,
I just got a 6400 a few weeks ago, this thing is amazing!
I only got 512mb of ram with it because the ram is selling a lot cheaper locally so I'm going to upgrade it myself.
My question is, does the brand of ram matter? I'm seeing Kingmax, Corsiar, K-Byte, Crucial, OCZ, etc..... Does it really matter? Is there a preference?
Also, in regards to the built in memory stick reader: Does it support Memory Stick Pro DUO cards (when used with the standard memory stick size adaptor provided with the duo card) ? I'm looking at getting a new digital camera, and it uses pro duo memory sticks so I want to make sure I can use the built in reader for it.
Thanks,
Chris

the pro duo's with adapter will for just fine. I have a 5.1MP sony that uses the pro duo...
Just pop it in my adapter and no problems. -
l'm not sure about the E1505 but my 1405's memory card reader accepts: SD, MS, MS PRO DUO, and XD l think. l'm pretty sure the card reader on both laptops is the same anyway.

and about the ram....i got the 512 that came with the PC and added a 512mb stick of Micron DD2 PC4200 and i've had no problems...
My only wish, is that i had 2 x 512mb sticks at 667mhz instead....but at this point its not worth the headache to change out both sticks and resale the other 2 sticks.
I can notice a good bit of difference though by upgrading to 1 gig....its fo' sho' worth it. -
Awesome.. thanks gclg2000 & Unreal!!!!
