I was using our laptop today with it plugged into a power bar. I went to shutdown laptop, and before it was completely shutdown I clicked off the power bar on the floor. The laptop just went black. I've done this before and the screen brightness would dim a bit and then it would shutdown as normal.
Now with laptop plugged in, the battery is showing "0% remaining (charging)". Is there a way to find out if my battery is fried?

I'm in eastern Ontario and was wondering where people have ordered a quality replacement battery in this area.

    Thanks for any help.
