    Hello,

My Inspiron 6400 has a temp Issue. Under normal use (No software running, just windows 7 and IE8) I got the following temps:

    Hard Drive: Over 56° Celsius.
    CPU Temp: 73° C, Peak: 80° C
    Chipset: 61° C
    GPU: 76° C
    Memory: 70° C

    CPU Load : 5%

What can I do? I can't use my laptop over my legs because I got burnt. Do i need to replace the fan? Do I need to replace the Thermal Interface Material? Please, any suggestion! I'm really need your help.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Cris

If you haven't dusted out the machine recently, I think that might be the place to start...
