    Hi
I have Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop. It is connected to Internet via USB connectivity. System is updated with Bios A12 and system protected by Norten Antivirus.

System when doing voice chat using yahoo or skyp or google suddenly freezes. It gives a particular sound grrrrr and only option i have is to power cycle the laptop. I dont find any information in the event viewer.

Anyone observed this kind of behaviour.

    Appreicate your response

    bye

Check the temperature of the processor and hard disk, and make sure that the fan is working. It may not spin when the notebook has just started, however, after some time, it should begin to spin. To check the temperature, use a program like NHC (Notebook Hardware Control) or Speedfan. Also, where does the "grrrr" noise come from in relation to the notebook.
