    Hi,

I am trying to decide between purchasing an Inspiron 1501 and a 6400.

The 6400 is more expensive the difference between the 2 are:

    Processor
    6400 - Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T2060(1.6GHz/533MHz/1MB)
    1501 - AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL50

    Display
    6400 - 15.4" Wide Screen WXGA (1280 x 800) Display with TrueLife™
    1501 - 15.4" Wide Screen XGA TFT Display 1280 x 800

It will be used mostly for common tasks such as word processing, suffering the internet etc.

Recommendations on which I should go for please? Is the 6400 worth the extra €80 or so?

6400 is obvious much more powerful in multitask performance. I would recommend 6400 with T2050.
