I just got my 6400 the other day and I'm loving it so far, but there's been one little problem.

When I come home from school or work (so the laptop has been asleep or turned off for a while) and I hit the power button to turn it on, the green LEDs for power and battery and whatnot go on for a few seconds, then go off, but nothing happens, it doesn't start up. If I wait a little while and try again it will usually turn on fine, and then everything is fine, but it's becoming kind of annoying. I've tryed with it plugged in and with it on battery power, doesn't seem to help, so I was hoping someone here would have an idea of what it could be. Thanks a lot :)

seems to be some kind of overheating problem or something. If not that, then i'm not sure.

    Greetings,

I had a similar problem with my E1505. I removed Boot from CD as the first item in the list in the BIOS config and the problem was solved. You might check your settings.

Alright I called Dell customer service and went through a bunch of steps trying to fix it. Turns out that the motherboard is faulty which is why it wouldn't start up, so I'm getting a free exchange on it. Thanks for the responses =)
