My wife's 2-year-old Inspiron 6400 was recently stolen and the insurance company is replacing it with a Studio 15.

The difference in specs between the two are as following:

Inpiron: Intel C2D T7400, 1GB RAM, 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, 120MB HD, Creative Labs Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio, 9-cell battery, DVD-burner
    vs.
    Studio: Intel C2D T5750, 2GB RAM, 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450, 160MB HD, High Definition Audio 2.0, 6-cell battery, 2.0MP Webcam, Slot-load DVD-burner

Do you think the insurance company is giving me a fair replacement?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

On a performance to performance basis, it would be about equal.. But IMO, a true replacement would be one with a T8300, and a 9 cell battery, esp. the battery.

CPU is slightly slower (IMO the difference is almost negligible), on the other hand you get more RAM , a better Graphics card and a much better looking notebook . So I guess the replacement is fair.
