    Hi guys,

I have a relatively old Inspiron 6400, and the CD drive has long been dead. Does anyone know of a place that stocks HDD caddy's for the older Inspiron models? Or if I'd have to try to find one on Ebay, where I've had bad luck in the past.

Oh, and if anyone knows of a place that actually sells good high cap batteries for this machine, I'm all ears, the one I bought from amazon was already 10% degraded when I got it.

    Thanks!

I would personally buy this on eBay if only because there's not much that can go wrong with one of these... but if not, newmodeus.com is supposed to be a fairly decent supplier (if not a high-priced one) of these things.

As for the batteries... everything is probably a crapshot at this point. Even "new" genuine batteries have probably sitting on a shelf somewhere for the past five years.
