    Hiya guys!

Did a search and found a few reviews on this notebook and just got some questions to ask.

I have ordered this already and it should be here tomorrow, and although it was in the "mobility" section on Dell... if you could answer a few of these questions? (Those who know/own it!)

I was looking for a laptop that can handle most tasks, such as office, emailing, web browsing, music, dvd's and the like. I am NOT interested in games as I have a good PC for that.

It should also be relatively easy to carry about.

Going to uni soon so that is why I wanted it.

I've also heard sound is bad, earphones sort this yes?

Overall... is this a good laptop for just "working" and "browsing" on and for uni?

    Thanks in advance!

Now, I know the weight is 2.5kg... is that terrible to carry around? I did have a SONY VAIO K315B and I think that was at least a kg heavier?

Ignoring break downs, how long will this laptop last? I'm hoping for 1-2 if not more years use (just doing above).

    Yes to all your questions.

If you want to do some gaming, I'd recommend at 1.5 gigs of ram. The game I play, Silkroad, hogs resources on 512mb, but it's no an issue anymore after upgrading. I'd assume you'd also want 1.5+ for photo editing.

In terms of like I'm hoping it lasts me 2 years, maybe 3. Not sure why if would breakdown, but this is my first laptop.

So it is terrible to carry around? :D LOL

Hopefully it isn't... been carrying one around weighing about 3kg and that has been OK, so this is 500g lighter.

Not at all interested in gaming, or photo editting really, as I have a PC with 2 gigs of ram and ded. graphics, just for "normal daily use".

    Thanks for your answer!
