    Hi
Just wondering for those of you who own a 700/710m laptop, is it normal for the fan to keep turning on sending out hot air during the whole time when you watch a movie. Also when watching a movie, i could hear and feel the noise of the dvd running the whole time. is that normal?
i've only had the laptop for few days and i'm trying it out before i decide to return it.
if you could please reply to me quickly so that i can return it on time if it has problems
    thanks
    hanaa

This is rather strange. A couple of my friends who own 700m's do complain about the fan, but their fans dont run continuously. Remember though, that the 700m is a very small laptop. It will have some heat issues.

Yeah this is normal for the 700m

On mine, the fan goes on/off whenever it needs to cool down and stays on a lot when it is on my bed.

When I put a dvd in even if it is not viewing the fan on mine will stay on te whole time. Actually, the first time this happened I kind of got scared because with the fan constantly on the left mouse button would rattle. Then I realized it was because there was a dvd in the machine.
