    Hello,

Anybody using Avid Xpress DV or Pro on this little machine? I'm wondering if the graphic card would choke... If not, can the s-video output be used for a "client" monitor?

I guess a 1.8 or 2.0 with 1gig of ram could run AVX, but I'm just not sure about the video chipset...

    Thanks for your time.

i'm pretty sure it's gonna choke, but not sure. you may want to check avid's website to see if they have minimum configs.

forgot the 2nd part, it wouldn't matter if you ran s-vid out because it's the same card pushing the vid. if it's too weak for the notebook lcd, it'll be too weak for the external monitor.

also, the screen is sooo small, i can't imagine trying to edit vid on it.
