The stock harddrive on my Inspiron 8200 began having CRC check issues, so I bought a Hitachi 120GB, 5400rpm, IDE drive as a replacement. The BIOS won't POST the new harddrive or the old CD/DVD drive. What would be my next remediation steps? Can I update the BIOS to get the drives to POST? Should I shop around for a replacement Motherboard? Knowledgable advice would be appreciated.
