I recently started having problems with my 8500. After running for a few minutes, the screen would become very pixelated and eventually become unusable. I figured it was the video card so I switched the video card. After I put the new card in, the computer would turn on but the screen was black. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I don't have an answer for you as I am having video card problems, same laptop. If you bought a new card, may I ask where you purchased it. So far on EBAY, I'm finding prices higher than my budget for the laptop in question. It takes at least three boot ups and retrys to get to a usable windows screen so I am sure the gpu is headed for permanent disfunction.
