    Inspiron 8600

    I had a gremlin in my Insipron 8600 and had to wipe to wipe it clean.
    In the process however I seem to have lost my microphone which stops me from using Skype, and my wireless connection does not work.

    Can anybody tell me how/where to download new drivers preferably a specific link as I am a ludite in these matters.

    Was your microphone separate from the laptop?

    Go to support.dell.com and punch in your service tag which can be found on the bottom of your laptop and download the appropriate driver(s).

    The microphone is integral, I have done this for the wireless conection and nothing worked.

    Are you talking about the microphone jack or is there a microphone in the LCD bezel? I would reinstall the Sigmatel Audio drivers.

    You have an INTEL PRO WLAN 2200 802.11B/G MBPS. Redownload the driver.
