Is it possible to upgrade the cpu for 8600 notebook?
I just ordered a 1.6G Pentium M system because it's cheap. I'm thinking of changing it to 2.XG in a year's time, after the warranty expires, and if weather permits
    Any clues would be appreciated.

Yes you can upgrade the processor as long as you have the most up to date BIOS.

It's relatively easy to replace as well. Wise to wait after your warranty expires since it will void it.
