Hey, I have an inspiron 8600 with an ATI mobility radeon 9600 pro and a 2 ghz dothan processor. I just downloaded the i8kfangui program because I heard about possible overheating problems. Anyway, the readings when the computer is on for about an hour and idle is 105 F for the cpu and 129 F for the gpu. I just wanted to know if this is a little high.

I have an 8600 with 1.7 ghz banias and the ATI 9600 and get temps of 104 F for my CPU and 120 F for GPU.

    Your temperatures are normal.

Do you happen to know the die temperature? Also, does anyone know what the temp gets like when you play games on the laptop?
