I have read EVERY single inspiron 9100 post and i was wondering if I wanted to play games like Diablo 2 and Warcraft III and rise of nations should i get a 128 mb video card? I also was wondering if there were any problems with keeping it on your lap with weight and all or should i get a docking station.I have heard nothing but good comments on this model. One of the most important things is is the typing easy because i have heard that your wrists will hurt because of the height of the model ty and nice forums you all maintain here![]
Thinking of getting a Inspiron 9100

I had the 9100 for a month and will definitely say that the thickness was a little bothersome, but didn't find it hurting my wrists. But different people are different anatomically (of course!) and that's not to say your wrists won't hurt due to the fact you have to elevate them a little.
As far as using it on my lap, I did it and it wasn't overly hot and it didn't crush my legs (or anything else thankfully) but I can't say it was something I'd do for more than 30 minutes at a time, it just gets too warm and uncomfortable.
I think if you can afford the 12MB card you should spring for it if you're into gaming (which you are) but for anybody else I'd say the 64MB is more than sufficient.
Don't get a docking station, doesn't make sense as you won't be moving it around a whole ton, I wasn't even aware that you can for the 9100. -

Funny you should mention the thinkness/ height of the keyboard making some peoples wrist hurt. I think in the past week two friends at work said the same thing as well as reading here in the forums a couple of times this week. I'm sure many won't have any problem with it, but I can see that as lawsuit happy our culture is that before long Dell may some legal action on their hands or wrists so to speak with carpal tunnel related injuries caused by the 9100[
