Hi, Whenever I put the computer into stand by for an extended period of time and turn it back on the fans go to full blast and it is really slow. Does anyone know why the fans turn on to full and how I can stop it from happening? Thanks!

I am running Speed fan 4.17 http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php version which monitors all fans and voltages from a 1.10 MB download with no SPAM at all, I would recommend it to you.

When ever my cpu and is in standby, I open the lid and click the chess piece and reconnect my DSL, I am then running at top speed. I hope this helps you [ :)]

I have a post on the same subject - press <FN> + <Z> and your fan will slow down. I still dont know why this happens or what the key command does. I would REALLY like to know!! I want to make sure it's not some safety override!
