ok guys need some help my dell 9200 notebook system fan (pretty sure its the cpu one) is making so much noise and every time it goes on my computer gets extremely slow and freezes. Im thinking the cpu fan is broken or needs to be cleaned and is causing my system to overheat.
If someone can confirm this theory or recommend me some solutions that would be really helpfully. Im thinking i should deassembly my laptop and try to clean the system fan but dont have any experience opening up a laptop.
Here is a instructions by dell to do this http://supportapj.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins9200/sm/index.htm
it seems like a difficult job since the instructions want me to remove all these other things before i can look at the system fan.

I think you should disassemble it too. Just follow the instructions (which your link is broken to) and you should be fine.

The fans probably need cleaning. I have an Inspiron 9100 that was loud, but then I cleaned out the fans and it ran better. My Vista index score also went up!
