    HI,
I've read some varying reports. I'm debating about 60gig 7200rpm versus 80gig standard. My question is I've seen the specs which state that the 80gig drive is 4200 , whereas some people have posted 5200. Does anyone know what is currently shipping with the various hard drives (speed of them?)

    Thank you.

    Hi
I've seen this yet others have posted some stats from utilities indicating its 5400rpm. Anyone who has purchased the 60 or 80gig drives (non 7200rpm) have stats from SiSoft or other utils indicating what drive they were shipped?

    Thank you.

I called and they told me that for the 9300 all other drives other than the 7200rpm were 5400rpm that is what they told me if this is not the case than I was lied to by tech support.
    I have a 60G 5400 rpm Hd in mine..

    hope this helps.

What would you be using the computer for? If you want a high performance hard drive, go w/ the 60 gb. if you want more space to store stuff, go with the 80 gb.

Hey, go for the 60 GB 7200 for the slight boost in speed. If you really need that much more room, get an external drive to store stuff. I recently got an 80 Gb external USB for $50.00 at CompUSA.
