    hey..i jus wanted 2 no if 40 or 60 GB (4200 RPM) hard drive would b really bad to play games compared to the the 60GB (7200 RPM) HD 4 the Dell Inspiron 9300??...and if the 512 MB RAM would b bad 4 games compared to the 1 GB RAM??...i no the 60 GB (7200 RPM) HD is really good and so is the 1 GB RAM...but they cost a lot...and i dont want 2 add the RAM myself..i want 2 buy it wit my notebook altogether at once...can sum1 plz tell me wat 2 do??...and also...is there much diff. b/w the 1.73 GHz Pentium M and the 1.86 GHz Pentium M 4 the 9300??...thanks

    First off the 9300 comes with 5400rpm drives or the 60G 7200rpm, for gaming you wont really see that big of a diff. between 5400 & 7200 mabey a little quicker load times.

    As far as ram you will definitely notice a diff. going from 512 to 1G but for the price just get it from Newegg.com you can get 1G of transend from them for like $110. So buy it with 256mb then order a 1G chip so then you'll have 1.25G, and dont be afraid about adding ram yourself very easy to do just take out the two screws on the bottom where it says ram and pop it in the open slot. and no it does not void any warranty

    As far as 1.73 vs. 1.86 I have the 1.73 and it runs great. So I'm not sure how much of a difference there will be. But as far as gaming not that big since games are mostely GPU dependant and the 6800 has more than enough power to run any game out.
