I'm about to go for the Inspiron 9300 but I want a few things clarified first. Is the audio card that is integrated the new Intel High Definition one? And will there be support for a Express card slot in the laptop? I want to make sure I can have more future proff stuff in my system so I won't be disappointed later on.

Should I wait for it? Any ideas on when it will come out?

The 9300 uses AC97 audio, so no it is not Intel High Def.

No clue, frankly i doubt it will anytime soon on the 9300. It uses AC97 because its cheaper. Its still a rather good implementation from what ive heard. It didnt stop me from ordering one :)

No, there are no support for HiDef sound... only standard stereo AC97 or whatever it is called.
I think it is still an open question, whether or not it supports ExpressCard... according to the Dell training manual for the XPS Gen2 it is supportet, but that might not be entirely true.

The 3D interactive view on their website shows a miniPCI slot on the underneath of the laptop.
