My Inspiron 9300 is only 5 days old and for 2 days when I turn on my I9300, nothing will come on the screen. I couldn't figure what the problem was b/c when I hook up a DVI or serial cable to my I9300, I could use my notebook with a monitor or LCD. About 1 hour ago, I decide to unscrew the cover for the memory and took it out and install it again. Then I turn on the I9300 and it work, I finally got a picture on my screen. Probably the rams were loose, so there were no picture on my notebook.

If the RAM is loose the boot sequence can fail or cause other issues. I would think the failure would be more severe though, like not booting at all.
