Hi All,
Well after almost 10 months of deciding 'which laptop to get I finally bought the Inspiron 9300 !!!
With these specs:
Intel® Pentium® M 760 Processor (2GHz/533MHz FSB)
17" UltraSharp Wide Screen XGA+ Display (1440x900)
256MB NVIDA® GeForce Go 6800
2 gigs of DDR2 SDRAM @ 533MHZ (Kingston)
8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer write capability
60GB 7200 Hard Drive
Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11 b/g,
Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Internal Card
I only have 3 concerns...here it goes:
1. I really want a 2.13 GHZ or the up and comming 2.26 GHZ processor...should I return it and wait for it to offered as an upgrade option or try to just buy it on my own and switch it my self ???
2. My system came with a Sony DVD-RW +/- burner..I have heard that this model is garbage...and i should call Dell and request the NEC-6500 model how true is this...and how do I get Dell to send me the one I want ???
3. I will be using this laptop primarly for processing digital pictures from my 20D...what is the best way to "calibrate" to LCD screen.....I have heard of people using a tool called POWER STRIP.....what is it.....and why is better than using the Nvidia driver ????
bottom line what is the best way to set up profiles so my pictures there best ???
Thanks in advance.......Shkj
