Hi all,
Ive just got this laptop and its fine, i have seen there is a 4-5 partition which i assume is a restore partition, I didnt get restore software as i had the copy of Windows MCE install DVD. Is there anyway i can get the software to use the data on this restore partition?
If so someone please tell me.
Ive already reformated drive c (windows partition only) and reinstalled MCE but it came up with an error when finishing and now windows is a little unresponsive and to save time i would like to use the restore partiton if i can.
Many Regards

If you want to use the restore partition, you still might be able to save it. To do it, you'll need ghost. The instructions are on this website : http://www.goodells.net/dellrestore/fixes.htm
Personally, I would just contact dell and request the CDs. You can get all of the software from dell. In fact, you can still get a MCE cd, so you can have a clean system. For more information on that, see the Step by Step Guide sticky located at the top of our Dell forum. It will go over everything that you probably need to know. -
Thanks for the quick response, I will check that out.
Much appreciated
Got it sorted thanks, it was very easy when i got the right utility "PTEDIT" got it save on dvd now and the ghost proggy.
