Inspiron 9400 Identify Part

I have a client that turned in an Inspiron 9400 for repairs. The initial problem was that, when the power button was pushed, the power LED comes on for a few seconds and the goes off and the laptop does absolutely nothing.

I swapped out components including memory and CPU with no luck so I made the determination that the motherboard is bad.

However, there is one component that eludes identification.

This is plugged into the video card slot, so I assume it's some sort of generic video card. Can anyone confirm?

My second question would be, could this be the problem with the laptop not powering up?

I get the same results (LED on for a few seconds then nothing) whether the card is in or not, so I am inclined to think that it is not the problem.

Any help in identifying the card or the initial problem would be most appreciated.

Does this machine have integrated graphics?

My guess would be that this is a blank that lets Dell reuse the same motherboard for 9400s with and without a discrete GPU? This is seeing that pictures of both the integrated and discrete motherboards on ebay and Google both have a GPU socket...

Is there any way to tell by looking at the MB as to whether or not there is integrated graphics??

 

Look up the service tag on the bottom of the machine... that'll tell you the specs?

 

According to Dell, the specs for this particular machine say nothing about integrated graphics..

I posted the entire spec page, just in case it's called by a different name in the specs..
