    Hi people,

I have got an inspiron 9400 on the way to me, ordered through my work,
Does anyone have this laptop? how is it? i mean i've heard good stuff about it? and some bad stuff? I don't want to know how it is with games as i'm not a hardcore gamer thats why i've got one with the integrated graphics.

Can anyone tell me how it is just doing things like internet usage and loading applications, media players etc. Just want to know what kind of performance people have been experiencing and i don't mean games.

If anyone can spare some time to give some info i'd appreciate it.

From my understanding, you won't notice much of a difference with just normal tasks. You will notice the dual core more with multi-tasking (i.e. watching TV while recording it).

Alot of software on the market isn't capable of seeing the other processor, so they don't utitlize the dual feature yet. This is expected to change though, so in the future, you'll start seeing more of a benefit with daily applications (hopefully).

many of us have this laptop and almost all of us thoroughly enjoy it. I'm not much of a gamer myself (not graphics intensive at least) so I also went with integrated with 2ghz and 1gb-667mhz and I find it to handle any thing I throw at it with ease. Load times are great, little to no lag, and my multitasking dream has come true. I personally got the WUXGA screen so I can't comment on your WXGA but you shouldn't find any issues with it (unless there's excessive light leakage).
