    Hey guys,

I know this has been covered a million times before but i was thinking about upgrading my 1GB of ram in my 9400 to 2GB. Currently i've got 2 512mb sticks in there so i'd have to fork out for 2 1GB sticks, I want opinions do you guys think it is worth it? will the extra RAM make much of a difference? and is this a good RAM to go with?

I've seen a few people recomment Transcend RAM before.

    Anyway thanks alot guys

yeah dell they always ship laptops with 2 slots of memory, so if you want to have bigger ram, you have to order from them. that was a sad experience for me. if you buy another 1gb which means doubling your memory, of course the performance will have a hitch. however you have to sacrify the other 2x512 from dell, which probalby come with warranty service for more than 1 yr from dell - which i think better than transcent (if you ordered 3 yr warranty i would be a waste)

the transcent i've never used but since the reviews are positive, i would go for it.

    good luck
