    I have a Dell Inspiron 9400.

The sound has stopped working. The sound jack had a lead plugged into it and was yanked out when someone tripped over it. It worked intermittently afterwards, but has now stopped completely. So is impossible to get sound through speakers or headphones!

Is it possible to just replace the sound jack? If so what the hell is this part called as I have looked on various parts websites and can't find it at all.

Thanks very much to anyone who can help.
