I love the E1505 - I've posted the E1505 rocks thread seen here. Unfortunately, we just discovered today that my husband's company-paid Verizon Wireless Internet Access Type II card does not fit. Until today, I simply didn't realize the difference between the two. I just assumed Verizon would put out a card that is compatible with all laptops. Apparently, Dell is the one who is going with strictly "new" future technology that is not widely available yet. This problem is my own ignorant fault - just a word to all considering purchasing the E1505. We both love this laptop so much, that i don't think we'll return it, but it is a gamble and it will cost more money when eventually Dell comes up with an adapter or more likely that Verizon will upgrade and offer an Express card - for more money and a one time fee, not doubt. Sigh. This laptop still absolutely rocks for home use and if you're willing to pay for like a TMobile service where hotspots are available. Unfortunately, the places we often visit are in residential neighborhoods where there hasn't been a TMobile hotspot available. My husband's HP 8320 takes the Verizon Type II card and we can get on the Internet with it anywhere - it's great and the Verizon plan is a flat $60 a month for unlimited use. I'm betting in a few months, customers will demand an express card choice, right??? Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations or know of an available adapter? Do tell.![]()

Check out the Verizon Wireless forum(s) on Howard Forums. They have a huge EV-DO thread. No doubt ExpressCard has come up many times. Without question VZW will offer ExpressCard EV-DO. The only question is when.
