About the only real problem that I have had(other then some software issues that were my fault) is the top of the laptop has been scuffed up. But I knew that was going to happen from the first time I pulled it out of the box. Simple way to fix this would be to get a snap on cover or paint it(I'm planning on this option). Other then that great Laptop and I would suggest it to anyone that is in the market for a 15.4".

Overall this is a great computer, however it was delivered with a Phillips CD/DVD-R which is the biggest piece of #$%^ ever put into a computer. The Dell customer service is usless, the Phillips customer service is non existant and none of the user forum tips resolved my problems. The recent firmware update from Dell is susposed to correct the problems but no change. I only use the computer for business and as such have no need to view video DVDS's so my external USB Sony solves my software download problem, but if you buy an E1505 be sure that you DO NOT allow them to include a Phillips drive. One last thing. I was suffering many system crashes until I shut down IE7 and went exclusively to Opera for my browser. Opera is a great program that actually works as advertised.

A girl in one of my classes has an E1505. She says she's had it for a little over a year. The silver paint is coming off the touchpad revealing yellowish white plastic underneath.

Screen Bezel broke after 8 months so the screen is now spliting into 3 parts - ordered the part from Ebay since Dell wouldn't cover it.

9Cell battery died after 12½months, ordered new and sealed from Ebay at half the Dell price.
