Bought a 320 upgrade hard drive for my e1505 laptop which was suppose to be easy to swap. Got two adapters 40 pin to 44 pin to clone via my desktop. But, the drives do not have the 44 pin exposed and I have tried to see if there is adapter that can be pulled off to expose the 44 pins but it just does not seem to be anything that is detachable.
Don't want to buy any other kit that wont work either. Anyone else had this problem and know what to do? Was looking for a cheap upgrade and it looks like cost and time are adding up with no result.
Thanks for any help, DW

The e1505 would have a SATA drive, not the older 40/44 pin IDE drive. You should be able to plug the drive directly into your desktop without any adapters, just a standard SATA data and power cable

Wow, you can tell this is first for me. I will order a couple on ebay as i bet they are hard to find in a store. Thanks much. Only wasted 10 bucks then!

Any desktop made within the last couple of years should be using SATA ... you may want to check to see if your DVD drive is SATA, then you can just temporarily use those cables
