I have an Inspiron E1505 with the basic nVidia GE Force Go 7300 128 MB graphics card. I know I can get a 256 card to replace it, but that really won't do what I want.

Is there any card upgrade that could fit with my laptop?

You can probably change that card for an ATI Mobility Radeon™ X1400, the other video card that Dell offered with the Inspiron e1505.

Yeah, the likelihood of you being able to fit any card not originally fitted is practically zero, so I'd stick with what you've got. Dell never fitted powerful graphics cards to the 1505.

    *sadness..*

Why I want a new card:

Until Wrath of the Lich King -- I could play WoW with my boyfriend on the laptop just fine, albeit with all settings turned pretty low unless I was just wandering around on my own. (My boyfriend has an XPS but I was ok with what my laptop could do.) My problem now is really low frame rate. I can function at 20-50, but I am getting below 10fps... And I can't afford to buy a whole new comp.

Do you all think putting in the nVidia card with 256MB ram might help? A friend told me it wouldn't -- that I need a system with more "shaders" on the card. But, I am running Vista which might be hogging the memory I need for the game.

Thanks for your help so far. I really appreciate the replies you all already made.

If you've already turned the graphics settings (including the resolution) all the way down, you've probably already done as much as your going to be able to do. Even if you can find an x1400 to work in your 1505, that isn't a serious jump from the 7300 that you have now, unfortunately.
