I am having a problem with my touch pad and the synaptics point device driver. For some reason the Snap To option in mouse settings disables its self after every reboot. I have uninstalled the drivers and this did not fix it. I have also downgraded to an older generic version of the driver and this fixes this problem but also removes a great deal of functionality.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and figured out how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

mine works fine. It just automatically turns off if i plug in a USB mouse (i chose that setting)
you sure you don't have that setting have a mouse plugged in ? -
Now that you mention it the option "Disable touchpad/stick when a USB pointing device is" is check marked. Wierd thing is it wont let me untick it. Its not greyed out, it just wont let me untick. Also I dont have ANY usb devices plugged into my system and never have.

I had the same problem on my 1505. There are 2 places in the settings where you have to check the Snap To feature. Look under both the Pointer Options and Other tabs. Enable Snap To in both places. That fixed it for me.
