New user here. I have a E1705 that I have had for a little over a year. about 5 weeks ago I started to get a message saying that my battery needed replacement. I was low on funds and never got around to ordering one. About 3 weeks ago I get a new message saying that the computer could not recognize the battery. Finally last week I ordered a new battery, not from Dell it is the correct one, and the computer still states that it does not recognize the battery. If I have the charger plugged everything runs fine, but I cannot unplug it or the computer shuts off after about 10 minutes or less.![]()
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
