I've been looking at getting into the E1705 17 inch notebook for a while now, until I saw this article http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2351

I would use the notebook purely as a desktop replacement for gaming and work. While it probably takes more powre to run this then a small city, I don't care about battery life. Has anyone heard of or can confirm this 19inch monster will be out this year ? if so I'm waiting.. .

Dell hasn't officially said anything yet. I think there is a few manufacturers that have 19in laptops in the works, but haven't released them yet.

    I have seen a 19" laptop. I can't comment passed that.

Personally, I am waiting for the E1509 to show up. I returned my M140 because I am looking forward to a graphically advanced 15 inch by Dell.

Dayam! A 19in laptop would be incredibly huge. If you want to be a desktop replacement, why don't you get like a 15in or 17in laptop and hook it up to an external monitor. I think that would be a cheaper and more convenient way.

If you do want to carry around your laptop one day it would be that heavy too.
