    Dell - Drivers and Downloads

Looks like Dell is about to get in the AMD Fusion Platform!!!

The M101z was the older AMD Neo platform.

Looks like we wont have to wait much longer.

For the Dell or in general? I've had a fusion HP dm1 since January 26. IMO, the best fusion model out. I'm surprised Dell is taking so long to update their 101z.

I thought the dm1 series had an issue with the battery latch? That x120e is looking quite handsome. ;)

That's odd. I put my battery in back when I got it in January and never had a problem with it. I've taken it out a few times with no issues. In fact, the DM1 thread is well over 200 pages now and I can't recall anyone mentioning an issue with the latch. However, in the last generation neo, I can recall some users complaining about it. But the fusion model is completely reworked.

Things to consider about the X120e.. it runs about 8 degrees hotter, has much worse speakers then the dm1.. they are down firing, and battery life is at least 30 minutes less then the dm1. The track pad is too small IMO but it does have a point stick if you like that. Build quality on the dm1 is excellent so I really can't see paying at minimum, 150 more for the lenovo for a same speced machine. In fact, to get a X120e at par with the dm1 your pushing over 600 dollars which is getting into i3 based ultraportable range. Lenovo missed the price point where the AMD Zacate E-350 fits.
